29 / 41 page ![]() Page 28 Datasheet, Public Document Feedback [v2-00] 2022-Nov-30 TSL2572 − Application Information: Hardware Typical Hardware Application A typical hardware application circuit is shown in Figure 33. A 1 μF low-ESR decoupling capacitor should be placed as close as possible to the VDD pin. Figure 33: Typical Application Hardware Circuit VBUS in Figure 33 refers to the I²C bus voltage, which is either VDD or 1.8 V. Be sure to apply the specified I²C bus voltage shown in the Available Options table for the specific device being used. The I²C signals and the Interrupt are open-drain outputs and require pull-up resistors. The pull-up resistor (RP) value is a function of the I²C bus speed, the I²C bus voltage, and the capacitive load. The ams OSRAM EVM running at 400 kbit/s, uses 1.5k Ω resistors.
