9 Application and Implementation

9.1 Application Information

The TUSB1044A is a linear redriver designed specifically to compensate for intersymbol interference (ISI) jitter

caused by signal attenuation through a passive medium like PCB traces and cables. The TUSB1044A has four

independent inputs, therefore the device can be optimized to correct ISI on all those seven inputs through 16

different equalization choices. Users can place the TUSB1044A between a USB3.1 Host/DisplayPort 2.1 GPU

and a USB3.1 Type-C receptacle to correct signal integrity issues, which can result in a more robust system.
