4. Connect the bottom IN and SW pads to a

large copper area to achieve better thermal

performance.

5. Use large copper areas for power planes (IN,

SW, OUT, and GND) to minimize conduction

loss and thermal stress.

6. A four-layer layout is strongly recommended

to achieve better thermal performance. Use

multiple vias to connect the power planes to

the internal layers.
