FUNCTIONAL DESCRIPTION

The MCP98242 temperature sensors consists of a

band-gap type temperature sensor, a Delta-Sigma Ana-

log-to-Digital Converter (

ΣΔ ADC), user-programmable

registers and a 2-wire I2C/SMBus protocol compatible

serial interface. Figure 5-1 shows a block diagram of

the register structure.
