35 / 104 page  Rev. 0.00 34 �e�te��e� ��� �01� Rev. 0.00 35 �e�te��e� ��� �01� HT45F12 8-Bit Flash MCU with Op Amps & Comparators HT45F12 8-Bit Flash MCU with Op Amps & Comparators External RC Oscillator – ERC UsingtheERCoscillatoronlyrequiresthataresistor,withavaluebetween56kΩand2.4MΩ, isconnectedbetweenOSC1andVDD,andacapacitorisconnectedbetweenOSC1andground, providingalowcostoscillatorconfiguration.Itisonlytheexternalresistorthatdeterminesthe oscillationfrequency;theexternalcapacitorhasnoinfluenceoverthefrequencyandisconnected forstabilitypurposesonly.Devicetrimmingduringthemanufacturingprocessandtheinclusionof internalfrequencycompensationcircuitsareusedtoensurethattheinfluenceofthepowersupply voltage,temperatureandprocessvariationsontheoscillationfrequencyareminimised.Hereonlythe OSC1pinisused,whichissharedwithI/OpinPC0,leavingpinPC1freeforuseasanormalI/Opin. PC 0/ OS C1 20pF V DD R OS C PC 1/ OS C2 External RC Oscillator – ERC External Oscillator – EC Thesystemclockcanalsobesuppliedbyanexternallysuppliedclockgivingusersamethodof synchronisingtheirexternalhardwaretothemicrocontrolleroperation.Thisisselectedusing aconfigurationoptionandsupplyingtheclockonpinOSC1.PinOSC2shouldbeleftfloating iftheexternaloscillatorisused.Theinternaloscillatorcircuitcontainsafiltercircuittoreduce thepossibilityoferraticoperationduetonoiseontheoscillatorpin,howeverasthefiltercircuit consumesacertainamountofpower,aconfigurationoptionexiststoturnthisfilteroff.Notusing theinternalfiltershouldbeconsideredinpowersensitiveapplicationsandwheretheexternally suppliedclockisofahighintegrityandsuppliedbyalowimpedancesource. Internal RC Oscillator – HIRC TheinternalRCoscillatorisafullyintegratedsystemoscillatorrequiringnoexternalcomponents. TheinternalRCoscillatorhasfourfixedfrequenciesofeither910kHz,2MHz,4MHzor8MHz. Devicetrimmingduringthemanufacturingprocessandtheinclusionofinternalfrequency compensationcircuitsareusedtoensurethattheinfluenceofthepowersupplyvoltage,temperature andprocessvariationsontheoscillationfrequencyareminimised.Notethatifthisinternalsystem clockoptionisselected,asitrequiresnoexternalpinsforitsoperation,I/OpinsPC0andPC1are freeforuseasnormalI/Opins. Internal 32kHz Oscillator – LIRC TheInternal32kHzSystemOscillatorisalowfrequencyoscillator.ItisafullyintegratedRC oscillatorwithatypicalfrequencyof32kHzat5V,requiringnoexternalcomponentsforits implementation.Devicetrimmingduringthemanufacturingprocessandtheinclusionofinternal frequencycompensationcircuitsareusedtoensurethattheinfluenceofthepowersupplyvoltage, temperatureandprocessvariationsontheoscillationfrequencyareminimised. |
