WhereacertaininterruptiscontainedwithinaMulti-functioninterrupt,thenwhentheinterrupt serviceroutineisexecuted,asonlytheMulti-functioninterruptrequestflags,MFnF,willbe automaticallycleared,theindividualrequestflagforthefunctionneedstobeclearedbythe applicationprogram. Itisrecommendedthatprogramsdonotusethe“CALL”instructionwithintheinterruptservice subroutine.Interruptsoftenoccurinanunpredictablemannerorneedtobeservicedimmediately. Ifonlyonestackisleftandtheinterruptisnotwellcontrolled,theoriginalcontrolsequencewillbe damagedonceaCALLsubroutineisexecutedintheinterruptsubroutine. EveryinterrupthasthecapabilityofwakingupthemicrocontrollerwhenitisintheSLEEPorIDLE Mode,thewakeupbeinggeneratedwhentheinterruptrequestflagchangesfromlowtohigh.Ifitis requiredtopreventacertaininterruptfromwakingupthemicrocontrollerthenitsrespectiverequest flagshouldbefirstsethighbeforeenterSLEEPorIDLEMode. AsonlytheProgramCounterispushedontothestack,thenwhentheinterruptisserviced,ifthe contentsoftheaccumulator,statusregisterorotherregistersarealteredbytheinterruptservice program,theircontentsshouldbesavedtothememoryatthebeginningoftheinterruptservice routine. Toreturnfromaninterruptsubroutine,eitheraRETorRETIinstructionmaybeexecuted.TheRETI instructioninadditiontoexecutingareturntothemainprogramalsoautomaticallysetstheEMI bithightoallowfurtherinterrupts.TheRETinstructionhoweveronlyexecutesareturntothemain programleavingtheEMIbitinitspresentzerostateandthereforedisablingtheexecutionoffurther interrupts. |
