The µPD17P236 is a model of the µPD17236 with a one-time PROM instead of an internal mask ROM. Since the user can write programs to the µPD17P236, it is ideal for experimental production or small-scale production of the µPD17230, 17231, 17232, 17233, 17234, 17235, or 17236 systems.
