Asanadditionalconvenience,Holtekhasprovidedameansofprogrammingthemicrocontrollerin- circuitusinga4-pininterface.Thisprovidesmanufacturerswiththepossibilityofmanufacturing theircircuitboardscompletewithaprogrammedorun-programmedmicrocontroller,andthen programmingorupgradingtheprogramatalaterstage.Thisenablesproductmanufacturerstoeasily keeptheirmanufacturedproductssuppliedwiththelatestprogramreleaseswithoutremovalandre- insertionofthedevice.
