Basic Operation – continued (3) Soft Start When the EN Voltage (VEN) goes high, the soft start function operates and the output voltage gradually rises. This soft start function can prevent overshoot of the output voltage and excessive inrush current. The soft start time tSS can be set by connecting a capacitor to the SS/REF pin.
