3.1
Absolute maximum ratings
Stresses beyond those listed below in Table 4 may cause permanent damage to the device.
These are stress ratings only. Functional operation of the device at these or any other
conditions beyond those indicated under Section 3.2: Recommended operating conditions
are not implied.
Exposure to absolute-maximum-rated conditions for extended periods may affect device
reliability.
In real applications, power supplies with nominal-rated voltages within the recommended
operating conditions, may experience some rising beyond the maximum operating
conditions for short times when no or very low current is being sunk (for example, amplifier
in mute state). In this case the reliability of the device is guaranteed, provided that the
absolute maximum ratings are never exceeded.
