The configuration register values are loaded with defaults, but can be overwritten when the TUSB4041I device is in I2C or SMBus mode. Table 3. ROM Signature Register Field Descriptions Bit Field Type Reset Description ROM signature register The TUSB4041I device uses this register in I2C mode to validate whether the 7:0 romSignature RW 0 attached EEPROM has been programmed. The first byte of the EEPROM is compared to the mask 55h and if not a match, the TUSB4041I device aborts the EEPROM load and executes with the register defaults.
