23.1

Memory Map

The user ROM area has an area to store programs, and another 4-Kbyte areas as the block A and the block B for

data storage.

The user ROM area can be programmed in CPU rewrite mode, standard serial I/O mode, or parallel I/O mode.

The boot ROM area has one 8-Kbyte block and is allocated in addresses FFE000h to FFFFFFh, which overlap with

part of the user ROM area . The rewrite control program for the standard serial I/O mode is stored in the boot ROM

area. Do not rewrite the boot ROM area.

Figure 23.1 shows the flash memory map.

NOTES:

1. The rewrite control program for standard serial I/O mode is stored in the boot ROM area before shipment.

2. When specifying a block, use the highest-order even address of the specified block.

3. This is a flash memory map in single-chip mode.
