The L99LD01 works as a fixed frequency boost converter. It is possible to add a pseudo-
random frequency modulation, which is controlled by a specific control register (see
datasheet). The so-called spread spectrum technique distributes the electromagnetic
disturbance over a wide frequency range, resulting in a reduction of the peak emission.
For clarity, in the rest of the document, we assume that this function is disabled.
