30 / 79 page  Functional description VL6180X 30/79 DocID026171 Rev 6 2.13 Ambient light sensor (ALS) The VL6180X contains an ambient light sensor capable of measuring the ambient light level over a wide dynamic range. This section describes the main features of the ALS. The ALS performance specification can be found in Section 4.2. 2.13.1 Field of view Figure 19 shows the ALS field of view which is typically 42 degrees (half angle, 40% of peak) in both X and Y.
