21 / 508 page  Section 1 Overview Rev. 1.00 May 30, 2008 Page 1 of 484 REJ09B0436-0100 Section 1 Overview 1.1 Features Microcontrollers of the H8/38537 Group are CISC (complex instruction set computer) microcontrollers whose core is an H8/300H CPU, which has an internal 32-bit architecture. The H8/300H CPU provides upward compatibility with the H8/300 CPUs of other Renesas Technology-original microcontrollers. As peripheral functions, each LSI of this Group includes various timer functions that realize low- cost configurations for end systems. The power consumption of these modules can be kept down dynamically by power-down mode. 1.1.1 Application Examples of the applications of this LSI include motor control, power meter, and health equipment. |
