The LCD system can be disabled by setting the DISON bit to 0. The voltage levels of the LCD driver waveforms and hence the contrast of the LCD can be altered by selecting appropriate resistors by setting the corresponding values to the CC0 to CC3 bits in the LCDCTR register.
