23 / 175 page  Production Data WM8946 w PD, July 2012, Rev 4.3 23 ANALOGUE INPUT SIGNAL PATH The WM8946 has six analogue input pins, which may be selected in many different configurations. The analogue input paths can support line and microphone inputs, in single-ended or pseudo- differential modes. The auxiliary input pins (AUX1 and AUX2) may be configured as inputs to the input PGAs or to the output mixers. The Left and Right input PGA audio channels are routed to the Analogue to Digital converters (ADCs). There is also a bypass path for each channel, enabling the signal to be routed directly to the output mixers. The WM8946 input signal paths and control registers are illustrated in Figure 10.
