ABB´s industrial plugs and sockets – a complete offer

• Approved according to IEC 60 309-1, -2, -4

• Range from 16 A up to 125 A.

• IP44 (splashproof) and IP67 (watertight).

• All contacts are self cleaning and calibrated, to maintain the

accurate contact pressure, quality and performance over time.

• Plugs and sockets for 63 A and 125 A have pins and sleeves

carriers in glass fiber reinforced polyamide.

• For devices in the Critical & Safe and Tough & Safe range,

all external screws are made of stainless steel.

• Clear terminal markings inside and at the front of the devices.

• Switched interlocked socket-outlets for vertical or

horizontal mounting.

Pilot contact

All male and female plugs and sockets with a rated current of 63 A

and all males and interlocked socket outlets with a rated current

of 125 A are equipped with a pilot contact. Connectors and panel

mounted socket outlets with a rated current of 125 A and with ”LP”

at the end of the type designation, e.g. 4125C6W LP, are equipped

with pilot contacts. In all products with pilot contacts according

to IEC 60 309-1 and -2, the pilot pin and sleeve are shorter than

the other connecting pins and sleeves. This means that the ”pilot

circuit” breaks before and connects after the main circuit giving

optimum safety. The maximum connection area is 4 mm2.
